What does foreign patient attraction and coordination involve?

Since registering as a foreign-patient facilitator in February 2010, Goryeo Medical Tour Development has handled the preparations patients from abroad need before receiving care at hospitals in Korea. We use the medical records patients send to find hospitals that can see them, and coordinate travel and appointment dates, services during the stay and budget information. Medical care is provided by each hospital; we handle interpretation, accompaniment and scheduling.

  • Before deciding — receiving medical records, checking which hospitals can provide care, passing on the treatment plan
  • Before travel — assigning a dedicated coordinator, setting travel and appointment dates, explaining services and the budget for the stay, sending an invitation letter
  • During the stay — airport pickup, guidance to accommodation and hospital, medical interpretation, help with receipts
  • After returning home — satisfaction survey, airport drop-off, regular follow-up, help connecting with a local hospital
