How to prepare your medical records

Which documents to send before a medical visit to Korea, in what format, and how we use them.

Last updated:

Which documents should I send?

Send the most recent documents about the condition you want to have checked or treated: a doctor's letter or discharge summary, test results, and imaging reports. If you have imaging files (CT, MRI), keep the original files; hospitals often ask for them later.

What format and language are accepted?

Scans or clear photos in PDF or JPG are usually enough for a first review. Documents in English are easiest for hospitals to read. If your documents are in another language, send them as they are and tell us; we will discuss translation with you.

How are my records used?

We send your records only to the hospitals we ask about your case, and only after you agree. Doctors at the hospital review them and decide whether treatment is possible. We do not make medical judgments ourselves.

How should I send them?

Contact us first through the form or by e-mail. A coordinator will reply with a secure way to send your documents. Please do not attach medical records to the contact form.
